EOWA/Jane Addams, Tollway
This project involved Phase II preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates for construction of a CD road between Elmhurst Rd. and west of Prospect Ave. This contract involved the upgrading of the existing roadway lighting. This project also included plan preparation for relocation of the existing ITS backbone through the length of each contract. The length of the project is approximately 1 mile. AMES was involved in the design of the roadway lighting plans as well as ITS plans. Photometric calculations were performed with LED luminaires (Concept was done with HPS). Voltage drop calculations were reviewed.
I-88 at IL 47 Interchange, Tollway
This project involved Phase II preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates for reconstruction of the interchange with the addition of two new ramps. This contract involved the upgrading of the existing roadway lighting. This project also included plan preparation for two ramp plazas. AMES was involved in the design of the roadway lighting plans as well as the plaza plans. Plans were prepared for replacement of the existing lighting in the Salt Dome parking lot. Lighting was provided for two Accident Investigation Sites (AIS). Photometric calculations were performed with LED luminaires for the Salt dome and the AIS. Voltage drop calculations were reviewed.

EOWA – Western Access, Tollway
This project involved Phase II preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates for 5 separate contracts. One contract involved the reconstruction of existing roadway with the relocation of existing municipal lighting. It also included the construction of a new roadway with
the addition of new lighting. The other contracts included mainline lighting for the length of the project and ramp/bridge lighting. These projects also included plan preparation for ITS backbone through the length of each contract. The length of the project is approximately 1.5 miles. AMES was involved in the design of mainline, municipal and bridge lighting as well as ITS plans. Photometric calculations were performed. Voltage drop calculations were reviewed.
EOWA – Prospect Ave. to Lively Blvd., Tollway
This project involved Phase II preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates for 4 separate contracts. The contracts involved the reconstruction of frontage roads with the relocation of existing lighting. It also involved bridge reconstruction and new municipal lighting and underpass lighting. In progress is the design of the contract which involves mainline lighting for the length of the project. The length of the project is approximately 1.5 miles. AMES was involved in the design of continuous freeway, complete and partial interchanges, municipal and underpass lighting. Photometric calculations were performed. Voltage drop calculations were reviewed.

Project: M-4 Self Supporting Communication Tower Construction Project No: RR-08- 5563, Tollway
AMES provided engineering design services for the preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates for the M-4 Communication Tower. The work consisted of the following items: Prepare Electrical Plans with M-4 Tower Specifications Coordination with Tollway and Contractor Special Provisions. Prepare design plan to relocate existing cable and conduit. Prepare specifications and pay items for design. Develop separate pay items and specifications for Integrated Radio Tower.

Project: M-7 Communication Tower Construction
AMES provided engineering design services for the preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates for the M-7 Communication Tower. The work consisted of the following items: Prepare Electrical Plans w/ M-7 Tower Specifications. Coordination with Tollway and Contractor Special Provisions. Prepare design plan to relocate existing cable and conduit Prepare specifications and pay items for design. Develop separate pay items and specifications for Integrated Radio Tower.

Tri-State Tollway (North of Buckley to the north of Grand Ave). Tollway 
AMES provided engineering design services for the preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates the development of electrical plans for the relocation of solar-powered cameras, antennas and overhead/ground-mounted signs.

DUR– I-88 (Ronald Reagan Expressway)
The scope of work consisted of providing plans to relocate RTMS and CCTV equipment in conjunction with Barrier Warrant Analysis. Photometric calculations were performed to verify compliance.
DUR – I-90 (Cherry Valley Interchange to IL/WI state line) Tollway
The scope of work consisted of field visits to examine existing conditions of RTMS cabinets within the project limits, reviewing and revising guide drawings to provide plans for RTMS modifications at several locations. Modifications involved means to prevent pests from entering the cabinet to upgrade internal components and provide grounding at the locations. The project also included providing a plan for WIM re calibration.

I-355 South Extension Tollway (PSB 05-04)
This project involved the Phase II preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates for providing service for proposed CCTV and RTMS equipment. The length of the project was approximately 15 miles.
Scope of work involved the development of electrical plans for CCTV and RTMS locations, coordination with ComEd to provide electric service to each location.
LaVergne Metra Station, Berwyn
This project involved the Phase II preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates for providing electrical connections for shelter lighting, shelter heater and other electrical equipment (voice of Metra).

IL 22 at I-94 IDOT (PTB 113/08)
This project involved the Phase II preparation of contract plans, specifications for relocating an existing surveillance camera, cabinet and pole.

EOWA – Devon Ave. Bridge, Tollway
This project involved Phase II preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates. This contract involved the reconstruction of the Devon Ave. bridge over I-290. The design of underpass lighting and temporary lighting was part of this project. AMES was involved in the design of underpass lighting and temporary lighting. Photometric calculations were performed. Voltage drop calculations were performed. Required coordination with IDOT who owns and maintains the underpass lighting.

EOWA – Park, Pierce & Ketter, Tollway
This project involved Phase II preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates. This contract involved the construction of Hamilton Lakes Dr. between Park Blvd and Pierce Rd. The reconstruction of the intersection of Ketter Dr. and Pierce Rd. The design of lighting on
Hamilton Lakes Dr., relocation of existing lighting and temporary lighting was part of this project. Photometric calculations were performed. Voltage drop calculations were performed.
5647 DUR – System Wide, Tollway
This project involved three contracts involving lighting. One project was to prepare lighting plans, special provisions and estimates to remove existing sign lighting that was no longer required and upgrade sign lighting which was to remain. Another project was to prepare lighting plans, special provisions and estimates to relocate and replace existing controllers and to upgrade underpass lighting. The other project was to replace proposed HPS underpass luminaires with LED luminaires.

4118 DUR – System Wide, Tollway
This project involved three contracts involving lighting. One project was to prepare lighting plans, special provisions and estimates to retrofit LED luminaires on I-294 bridges in Bensenville. Another project was to prepare details/plans to provide grounding at sign structures. The other project involved providing photometric calculations where existing lighting units had to be relocated per a barrier warrant analysis to confirm compliance with Tollway standards.
Tri-State Tollway (Touhy to Dempster), Tollway
AMES provided engineering design services for the preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates for adding lighting to the reconstructed NB and SB lanes. The length of the project was approximately 1.1 miles. Scope involved the design of:Continuous Freeway Lighting, Bridge Lighting, Photometric/ Voltage Drop calculations

Harlem Ave (119 th Street to 127 th ), City of Palos Heights
AMES scope of services consisted of providing lighting plans along Harlem Ave from 119 th St. to 127 th St. at the intersections of Harlem Ave. with 119 th St, 123 rd St and 127 th St. The length of the project was approximately 1.1 miles. Continuous Roadway Lighting, Photometric/ Voltage Drop calculations
Tri-State Tollway (Buckley to Grand Ave). Tollway
This project involved the Phase II preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates for the reconstruction of NB and SB lanes. The length of the project was approximately 5.5 miles. Scope of included the design of:Continuous Freeway Lighting, Interchange lighting, Temporary lighting, Underpass lighting, Photometric/ Voltage Drop calculations

I-88 (Naperville Rd to I-355), DuPage County, Tollway
This project involves the Phase II preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates for the reconstruction of WB and EB lanes. The length of project was approximately 3.9 miles. Scope of work included the design of: Continuous Freeway Lighting, Partial Interchange Lighting,Temporary Lighting, Underpass lighting (IDOT), Photometric/ Voltage Drop calculations
Western Avenue over the Cal-Sag Channel, IDOT-1
AMES will provide engineering design services for the preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates for: Temporary and Permanent Bridge Lighting, Navigational Lighting, Underpass lighting, Photometric/Voltage drop calculations, Coordination with utility and local agencies.

Miller Rd. Intersection with Green St. and River Rd, City of McHenry
AMES provided engineering design services for the preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates for Intersection Lighting Miller Rd. at Green St. (Barreville Rd.) and Miller Rd at River Rd. , Roadway Lighting, Bridge lighting over the Fox River, Photometric/ Voltage Drop calculations, Coordination with utility and local agencies.
Great Western Trail, Village of Lombard
AMES provided engineering design services for the preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates for lighting on the Great Western Trail and comprised of approximately 1800 FT, which included Trail Lighting, Bridge Lighting, Photometric/Voltage Drop calculations, Coordination with utility and local agencies.

Johnsburg Rd. (Ivy Ln. to Chapel Hill Rd.), McHenry County
AMES provided engineering design services for the preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates for lighting plans at two intersections, one of which is a roundabout, decorative street lighting plans along Johnsburg Rd. between the Intersections of Spring Grove Rd. and Chapel Hill Rd., which included Intersection Lighting, ROUND-ABOUT lighting, Decorative Lighting, Photometric/Voltage Drop calculations, Coordination with utility and local agencies.
I-294 Cal Sag Channel to 111th St. and 135th St. to Cal Sag Channel, Cook County, Tollway
This project involves the Phase II preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates for the reconstruction of NB and SB lanes. The length of the project is approximately 6.2 miles. Scope of work included the design of Continuous freeway lighting, Interchange lighting, Temporary lighting, Underpass lighting, Photometric/Voltage Drop calculations.
