POSITION: Data Engineer
- Computer-based Data Analysis and Modeling: Conduct advanced data analysis, to inform transportation decisions.
- Transportation Planning and Design: (1) Phase I engineering services – geometric studies, environmental studies, safety studies including crash analysis, and preparing project reports. This work includes data collection, development of alignment alternatives, cost estimates, traffic management analysis, crash analysis and other related work and exhibits necessary to complete Phase I preliminary engineering. (2) Phase II engineering work consists of data collection, geometric studies, roadway plans, and any other related work to complete final plans, specifications, and estimates as necessary. The various proposed projects consist of simple patching and resurfacing, widening, and resurfacing, and new roadway projects.
- Client and Stakeholder Coordination: Effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
Requirements: bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Mathematics and 1 year of experience as Data Engineer or Data Analyst on traffic and transportation civil engineering projects
